Like many in the helping field, pursuing a career as a counsellor stems from both personal and professional experiences. These experiences have fueled my drive and passion for providing support and guidance to those needing help. Within my own life, I have faced and overcome abuse and addiction, all while learning to navigate society with a widely misunderstood learning disability (ADHD). Deep in my soul, there is a drive to advocate for those experiencing injustices, just as I have.

My mission is to teach and instil hope in others who feel as if they are inferior, minimized, or unheard. I help in this way by empowering individuals, couples, and families to tell their stories, understand themselves, and make a difference in their lives and communities, all while discovering their strengths and resiliencies.

I graduated from the University of British Columbia with a bachelor's degree in psychology and I am currently completing my Masters of Counselling Psychology degree at Adler University. In addition to this formal education, I have work experience supporting my fellow humans struggling with addiction, depression, anxiety, psychosis, suicide ideation, trauma, and violence.

I have been told that I help people feel safe and accepted by providing a space to be vulnerable, while highlighting the client's right to self-determination.
